So-So.....

Let me start by saying that I have 5 Lively bralettes, in varying styles, that I love! And I want to love this style, but there are a few issues for me. I’m a 38DD, and the sizing seems accurate, which is great! The cups are a very soft stretchy fabric, which is comfortable. The cons are: that same soft fabric means that for me, this is a “high jiggle” bra- even with the underwire, I feel lifted, but not *contained* if that makes sense. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. The bigger issue is the seams on the fronts of the cups. They are quite prominent, and definitely show through a t-shirt or anything very form fitting, which dramatically reduces the usefulness of this bra to me. If Lively could (literally) iron out that issue, I’d be more likely to buy a second one, but as it is, I will not repurchase.

Almost Perfect?

Love this bar, for many reasons. It's very functional, pretty but not too over the top and its actually comfortable for a wired bra. I don't usually purchase wire bras because I am slightly smaller than a 32A so they generally don't fit given they're shaped, however, this one is just small enough that it still works for me with just a smidge of extra lace fabric but not the stretchy lining slide. The only huge downside is that the hooks for the cross back style are much too high in my opinion and you cant adjust them enough for a smaller shoulder hight when not using that said feature. Still pretty though, tempted to get another! :) Wish lively would make slightly smaller sizes after making much bigger ones for those of us who are quite flat-chested, still, love all my bracelets though so I can't complain too much here!

Sizing not right

I am a 32C. I ordered this bra in the black and almond. Both were weirdly so big that I have to return them. I had to tighten the adjustable straps as far as they would go and the bra was still too long over my shoulders. Also, a bra should start out snug on the last clasp in the back, so that as it stretches with wear you can move to the other clasps. This bra was barely snug at the smallest clasp. Not sure if the two bras I got were just misfits? Although the cups were also too big they weren't as mis-sized as the straps. Not impressed with this bra.

My new favorite bra!

This is the second lively bra I’ve bought. Prior to lively, I bought bras from aerie which I was a size 36DD. I did the lively size chart which said I am a 34DD and went back and fourth on which size to get. I decided to go with a 34DD and they fit great! I was a little worried at first cause this bra fit tighter than my other lively bra but wearing it the first day I almost forgot I had a bra on!! I bought this bra in jet black with jet black palm lace undies and I absolutely love them. I will be buying this bra in the other colors.

Incredibly comfortable, but not a great general-purpose bra due to flaws

I love wearing this bra, but it only works with a relatively narrow subset of my clothes. I was looking for a general-purpose bra compatible with all of my normal everyday clothes, and unfortunately this one doesn't meet that mark. I also have some concerns about it's long-term wearability once the elastic starts to stretch. The good: The comfort of this bra is wonderful! It's definitely among the most comfortable bras I own, the shape is flattering, and the lace-and-mesh construction makes it nice and cool. The lace itself is flat and soft and doesn't show a noticeable texture through knit fabric. The front-adjustment on the straps is nice, and the set-up to switch to racerback configuration is very easy (although it comes with some issues, described below). The bad: The seams on the cups are very prominent, due to both construction (i.e., the thickness of the seam itself) and the location of the seam vertically over the most projected part of the breast. As a result, I can't wear this bra under plain knit tops or dresses without the seams showing through very obviously, only under more structured fabrics or T-shirts with designs that obscure the seams. I realize this isn't advertised as a "T-shirt bra," and I don't expect bra seams to be completely invisible under knits, but I have other seamed bras (with flatter seam construction) that work fine under knits, and the palm lace material of this one would be fine under knits except for the thick seams. The strap design for conversion to racerback style comes at the cost of adjustability in the standard strap orientation. Because the rings are set at a fixed position in the strap, the slider to adjust the length can only adjust the front side of the strap *and* the maximum strap length has to be longer to accommodate the racerback configuration. As a result, in the straight-strap configuration that I wear the most, I already have the adjustment sliders quite close to the rings--it won't take a huge amount of stretch in the straps before I run out of room to shorten them any more in the straight configuration (there is considerably more room to shorten the straps in racerback configuration). On a very minor note, my first impression of putting on this bra was that it felt "flimsy." After actually wearing it, it seems well-constructed. I think my first impression was skewed partly by the fact that the tab with the three sets of hooks, which has been made of non-stretch fabric in all my other bras, is made of stretchy fabric in this one. I find that the stretch in this tab makes it slightly more awkward/difficult to hook. I'm not sure if that part being stretchy will affect how the bra stretches out over time or not. Fit notes: My measurements are about 32" underbust and 38" bust, so Lively's size chart recommends a 34D. I actually got the 34C, based on my sizing in other bras, and sizing down a cup size was the right call--the fit of the 34C is good. The middle hook on the 34 band feels appropriately snug on me; on the loosest hook it's still functional, but feels on the loose side.

Find Your Size

Not sure about your bra size? Don't sweat it! It takes 2 minutes to find the perfect size and you can do it right at home.

Getting Started

Stand in front of the mirror wearing your best fitting, least padded bra and grab a soft measuring tape.

Step 1 - Find Your Band Size

Wrap a soft measuring tape around your back, just below the shoulder blades and under your bust. Pull to a snug fit and take that measurement.
Use this number to find your band size on the chart below.

Step 2 - Measure Your Bust Size

Slide the measuring tape up your back, across the shoulder blades and around the fullest part of your bust. Hold loosely without pressing into the skin.
Note this measurement. This is your bust size.

Step 3 - Find Your Cup Size

Find your cup size by subtracting your band size from your bust size. Use the difference to determine your cup size on the chart below.
