I am SO bummed I wasted my money on this and the other bra I purchased. I loved the mesh bralette nursing bra so much I splurged on these padded ones, but I can't wear either of them because they dig into my side so much. Seriously bummed as I loved the other bralette and was unaware of the digging until I had wore them around for a few hours and couldn't get comfortable in them.
I'm almost due with my second baby, and was looking for some nicer maternity bras this time around. When my first baby was born, I used maternity bras from Target, but they weren't super durable or flattering. I ordered this bra from Lively and am super happy with it. It fits really nicely and has a little room for when my milk fully comes in. It's extremely comfortable and looks great, like a real bra. Not like a standard frumpy maternity bra. I'm usually a 32c or 34c so I ordered the 32c and it's going to be perfect for me. Super happy with this purchase. (I ended up ordering the maternity bralettes, which were also lovely).
I read allllll of the reviews, and ended up buying 5 bras in different sizes to try on, to cover my bases, focusing on sizing down based on previous comments. I purchased: 32A, B & C and 34A & B. I was a 32C/34B pre-pregnancy...and I ended up keeping the 32C and 34B. At ~15 weeks pregnant I was wearing the 32C, but switched to the 34B in the last few weeks (now at 21 weeks pregnant) to accommodate new boob growth. I was puzzled by everyone's experience with these being way too big. What I have surmised is that yes, these bras run big. But my boobs must have grown so much that they fit into my pre-pregnancy sizes; I have this exact bra in the non-maternity style, in the exact same size (32C) - there's no way that it's the same as the maternity 32C. In short, these bra's run big. And depending on how your boobs are changing/growing during the course of your pregnancy, you might be fine with your usual size and its sister size. I was happy that I bought a bunch and had the opportunity to figure it out at home. And it was easy peasy to return the ones I didn't want to keep. Lastly, wearing them for the last two months, I am NOT experiencing any discomfort induced by the side boning. Totally fine to wear them all day, every day. No complaints. And they look and feel like my pre-maternity bras. Overall very happy, and hoping these still work great when it comes time to nurse!
I bought a black and beige bra as well as the nursing bralette and I was not a fan. The fit is weird. Despite all my other bras fitting me these just just did not but the worst part for me is the small wire on the side. It DIGS into my side so much that I can't stand to wear them. Not for me sadly...
I was VERY EXCITED for this bra! I have the Lively maternity bralette and it's amazing! I first ordered this in my normal size and it was very large, gaping everywhere--I tried to adjust the straps and clasps and make it work, but to no avail. I gave in and returned it for a smaller size. This one was definitely a bit tight, and the sides definitely dig in even after just a few minutes of wear from trying it out. But even still, I could have dealt with that if the fit worked out, but this one had gaping too! It was so ill fitting and the way the cups were made (not nearly soft enough for boobs that change sizes throughout the day), it was just evident that this bra was not thoughtfully created for a nursing mom. The components of a nursing bra are there, and the bra is soft and pretty (I wanted this to work so badly because it's near impossible to find nice maternity bras) but the fit is not thought out! A REAL BUMMER. I wanted to love this, but unfortunately this just isn't a winner.
