Made me feel human again

I got these about two months post-partum when my pregnancy bras were really letting me down. I bought this in two colors and they are so cute. The mesh is super comfy and the thick band makes me feels supported without cutting in. After what felt like nursing nonstop for two months, these bras helped me feel a little more like a human being. They’re definitely the ones I go to if I plan to leave my house. I highly recommend.

Too Small

I originally ordered the non-busty version of this bralette, using the sizing guides and everything, and it didn't fit. No worries, I sized up to the 1 of the busty bralette. Again, no dice. Small in the cup and the band. Third time is the charm: I ordered the size 2 AND the size 3 to be on the safe side and FINALLY the size 3 fits. Pre-maternity, I was a 34C to 36C, sometimes a 36D depending on the brand. I've definitely grown in maternity but for reference I have also ordered the maternity wireless bra from Lively in a 36C, 38C, 36D, and 38D and found that in every case the cup size was too large (literal gaps) and the band was too tight (even on the loosest setting). So by Lively's own brand standards, if the "Model is wearing a size 2 and measures 36DD" for this bralette, a size 3 should be way too large for me. The cup fits comfortably and the band is ok on the loosest setting. Counting on it to stretch a bit. Just overall frustrated with the sizing and the process. I am keeping the size 3 and it is comfortable and attractive but not a great look for the brand to make it so challenging to find a fit.

Cute and Comfy

This is a great bralette. I love how cute and comfy it is! If you are on the edge for size 1 and 2… definitely size up. There isn’t as much coverage I thought there was going to be. When my breasts are very full, I’m spilling out. But when they are empty, it fits great. In my opinion, it would be nicer if this bra had a thicker band and more coverage.

Almost great

I'm happy to have this bralette. Cons... a little too loose in the band and small in the cup area. I used the sizing chart provided but still spilling over the cup area and wish the band had more hook options. Would be more supportive if the band was a little thicker as well.

Soo Comfortable!

This bra is amazing! From someone who hates wearing a bra to sleep. Since having a baby bras are always a must for me and this bra is awesome when it comes to sleeping! It's a must buy.

Bra Sizing Guide

Not sure about your bra size? Don’t sweat it! Measuring yourself at home is simple, but if you need a little extra help, you can meet with one of our fit experts face to face by scheduling a Virtual Styling Session or Fit Appointment at one of our stores!

Before we start you will need a few things:

  • A soft measuring tape
  • A mirror
  • Your best fitting, least padded bra

STEP 1

Stand in front of a mirror wearing your best fitting, least padded bra and use a soft measuring tape to measure your band size:

  • Wrap the measuring tape around your back just below your shoulder blades and just under your bust.
  • Make sure that the measuring tape is parallel to the floor. Pull the tape measure tight against your ribcage and take note of that measurement.
  • If your measurement is an odd number, add 1, if it's an even number, add 2
    • Ex: 35 inches rounds up to 36
    • Ex: 32 inches rounds up to 34

STEP 2

Next, measure your bust:

  • Slide your measuring tape up your back, across your shoulder blades and across the fullest part of your bust.
  • Make sure that the measuring tape is still parallel to the floor and hold the tape as loosely as possible and take note of that measurement.

STEP 3

Now we do some math!

  • Your band measurement is what you measured + 1 (odd measurements) or 2 (even measurements)
  • For every inch difference between your band size and your bust size you will increase your cup size.
    • Ex: 34 inch band and a 39 inch bust (5 inch difference)  will be a 34DD
    • Ex: 31 inch band measurement will round up to a 32 and a 35 inch bust (3 inch difference) will get you to size 32C.
