Way Too Short
I thought this looked super cute, so I bought it even though I was hesitant about the lack of padding mentioned by other reviewers. Based on the sizing guide, I bought a Small (I'm 120 lbs and usually wear a 4). However, when it came, although it fit fine width-wise, it was WAY too short. I had to extend the straps entirely and it still only just covered my (def on the smaller side) boobs. And it definitely looked too short on me. So I exchanged it for a Medium hoping that would be better, but I STILL had to let the straps all the way out, and it still seemed on the shorter side. And the Medium was definitely too big around. I'm 5'6", which is a little taller than average I know, but I was very surprised that I had such trouble with this swimsuit. I have a number of other one-pieces from other places that fit perfectly fine and haven't given me any trouble in the height department. In my opinion, this swimsuit seems designed for pretty short girls, or at least short torsos.
No lining on bust
Overall it fit well, but my postpartum boobs need a lining so my nipples don’t show. Was looking for something without a ton of padding but this has no coverage at all. Sad to send this one back.
Want a padded style!!!
I love this style very much, but want it with padded!
I had a baby 5 months ago and was on the awful search for a swim suit. Many tear filled shopping trips later I finally turned to Lively, I purchased my bras here pre pregnancy but hadn’t tried them since. I gained quite a bit of weight and dress sizes in my whole growing a human journey and was reluctant to buy something else I was inevitably going to have to return but I loved the style of this suit and the price and really wanted to give it a go. I truly dislike that they only have small medium and large but following the size guide I purchased a large. I’m a size 12 now in dress 180lbs and a 38D. I just received the suit yesterday and tried it on and it fit!! It is not super tight, the material has a nice loose stretch and it is soft. I will say the torso does feel a smidge short, I am not tall only 5’4 but I also think it might be my new giant boobs that I’m not used to dressing quite yet. It covered everything up and when I tightened the straps I felt pretty secure. It is quite cheeky in the bum area because of the high cut leg but it is tasteful and not too revealing. It also stays in place I jumped around and walked around the house a bit and I didn’t feel like anything was riding out of place. I also love the two tone colors, it helped me feel slimmer and proportioned and drew attention away from my belly because of the bright green top. My only suggestion would be to create a suit with soft cups for a little more support for the girls. However this suit will work for my needs ( swim lessons with the baby!) without leaving me feeling mortified when I have to take off my clothes. All in all Lively for the win!
