I absolutely cannot believe I made it through one breastfeeding journey without this bra. It has really changed my whole outlook. I fought clogged ducts the last time because I felt I needed underwire support for my 36DDD breasts. This bra gives amazing support without any underwire at all! The straps are wide enough that they don’t dig in and hurt, and they’re set far enough to each side they don’t get in the way when nursing. The foam in the cups is thin enough to fold down out of the way when unclipped, but there’s enough there to keep my nipples from being obvious all the time. They don’t rub on raw nips either, which is so nice the first few weeks. As soon as my other bras wear out, this will be the only style I wear.
I couldn't make this bra work. I tried the 36C, 38C, 36D, and 38D (not in that order) and in all instances the cup size was too large (literal gaps) and the band was too tight even on the loosest setting. For reference, pre-maternity, I was a 34C to 36C, sometimes a 36D depending on the brand. I've definitely grown in maternity but I did end up keeping the busty maternity bralette in a size 3 (after several tries, read my review for that one) and according to Lively their "Model is wearing a size 2 and measures 36DD" for this bralette so if the size 3 fits me a 38 band shouldn't be too tight and a C cup should in no way be too big... Bummed because I really wanted this bra to work out but it's been a terrible process that made me feel bad about myself and like I've gotten too big in pregnancy when really it's just inconsistent sizing and poor design by the company. Had to return these bras and will not be trying again.
I like this bra! It’s comfy and supportive. It clips down for easy nursing sessions yet still looks smooth under tighter fitting shirts. The first attempt, I ordered my normal postpartum bra size and found the cups were too large. So I reordered in the next cup size smaller and it fits perfectly.
I wanted to love this maternity/nursing bra because it is cute, but, I’m sad to say it is the most uncomfortable nursing bra I’ve ever tried. The boning on the sides digs in and I can’t stand to have it on even for a couple minutes.
The bra has some kind of plastic that runs vertically on the side of rib cage... probably for some structure. I wish it just weren't there honestly and tried to think so I could cut it out. I think it just depends on the person if it would work for them or not but I found it uncomfortable. It is nice lively has more cup and band sizes than a lot of similarly priced brands.
