How did you get started baking?
With my grandma when I was six. My whole family loves to cook, and when I'd get home from school my grandma and I would bake a dessert together for everyone to enjoy that evening. She was from Vienna where they have incredible pastry.
What is your process when approaching your creative work?
Thinking about how to take my favorite childhood desserts or awesome classic European desserts and update them with a new, fun look.
What do you love most about your job?
Making my customers happy and working on their custom orders.
What’s your biggest guilty pleasure (life’s all about balance after all!)?
Chocolate, soft cheese, and red wine.
What’s the best advice you've ever received?
Stay focused and tune out the noise. Everyone will tell you what to do and give their opinion, but follow your instincts.
How would you describe your personal aesthetic?
A mix of old and new. I wear things from high school with pieces I've picked up on a recent trip. In the kitchen, though, it's all about comfort.
What are 3 things you can’t leave the house without?
Kindle, pasta, my recipe book.

Every day is about feeling comfortable so I can move efficiently and fluidly in the kitchen. Especially when you're six months pregnant and on your feet all day!
